Working with Agencies
Agencies are still the dominant route for finding jobs. They vary from excellent to the downright unscrupulous. There are over 50,000 agencies registered in the UK. They can make a real difference to your job search, but you need to manage them effectively. They can be like having your own salesforce actively selling your profile to suitible employers.
As well as providing you with a very large list of jobsites, we also provide a detailed approach for working with agencies to get the best results.
CV Banks
CV Banks are a recent variation on job boards where you register your CV and this then becomes available to both agencies and employers. Some agencies will be continually looking for particular skills and this is often a more fruitful approach than applying direcly for jobs. When you get contacted by an agency who has just received your CV via this route, it is often more likely to lead to an interview and job offer.
However, there are both potential security issues as well as better ways to work these boards. We take you through how to use these safely.
